That statue is one of the most incredible pieces of work I have seen and it represents fallen soldiers going to heaven. Nothing more!! These protesters need to find other things to do with their lives.

This statue does not make anyone think of hate...that's a cop-out. This is my southern heritage. If others oppose tell them to move north. No one alive lived during the Civil War...check your history books for more info. We are missing a lot of info. Same Fame..

This statue is not about racism, its about our history. Our city limit signs state "Historic Salisbury" This is our history and the honoring of all soldiers laid to rest in our city.

I don't understand how any civil thinking human being would want to remove such a beautiful statue! All I have ever seen in that statue is an angel carrying a soldier. Every time I see the statue it reminds me of how God protects all of His children!

If we are forced to take down this beautiful piece of history they need to keep the lunacy going and start taking down the the Korean War Monument, all the Vietnam War Monuments, etc...and I will be more than happy to make a special place on my property at my business or my home for this Monument...I have loved this Monument for 30 years and have never once thought of slavery, racism, or hatred when I see it...I think about the South...warm summer nights...sweet tea on the veranda...barbeque...the beach...the mountains...saying y'all...loving all my friends no matter the color...neighbors helping neighbors... Loving God...that's us...the South...we're proud...let us be...

This statue has nothing to do with racism. It's simply an angel carrying a soldier.

It's the hate in the heart that needs to be removed, not the statue.
