This is pointless. You can't erase history. Also if this offends someone the why do we have grave sites,why does people put flowers on the side of the road where a loved one lost their life.This is to show respect for them men who fight for this land you y'all know it just like we know it. There is alot that I find offensive like wearing pants at your knees why wear pants at all I mean we all see that area we shouldn't be seeing and I think it disrespectful for a young girl to have to see that I vote we start locking people up for indecent exposure.

Please do not remove the statue. It does not represent hate or racism for those families who grew up or haved moved to Salisbury. It is simply a part of our southern heritage.

This is a historical monument that honors all of the fallen soldiers...if it is removed I will never spend another dollar in Salisbury! It may be a longer drive but I'll spend it in another city.

You cannot wipe away history. There is no going back and cleaning up what people are being offended by. Leave the statue ALONE.

106 years is a very long time to remove something because it hurt feelings. It's s beautiful and represents our history. Please stop bowing down to every group that shouts. What is going to be next? Start at home by not being so negative about ever thing. Teach them history of the past and to let things go.

It is a part of our history as a community. If you take this down you might as well pull the head stones out of the ground at the Salisbury National cemetery because. It would be the same. It represents a war that took place here. No one can change that fact.
