I may not have been in stanton for that long, but i know that the band is one of our most signature programs. The tradition of our musical selection is something that we've had for many years and it'd be terrible to let go of. The tradition should remain with the school because it stands for so much more than anyone else would know. Its really hard to think that someone wouldn't be able to realize it.

The students feel passionately about this issue. They feel it connects them with the history of the Stanton Band and, at the same time, is a distinguishing feature that marks their program as unique.

It's more than a style! It is a tradition! These students have worked hard to maintain a style and tradition at Stanton that brings them pride! Don't allow one persons vision to completely blur the vision of so many! Save the Traditional style Marching band at Stanton!

Stanton's Band and Mr. Young played a very important role in shaping my son into the man he is today. Both impacted many students' lives in numerous positive ways. Please, seriously consider student input before implementing changes and do not disregard tradition.
