it's a case of weighing up the importance of Money v's Children, and our kids have lost. Absolute discrace, they've put a figure on our children's heads. No one is listening, our parish priest is chair of our Interim Board of Governors, he should respect the community and tell us the truth, not avoid us all which is what's been happening,

Disastrous decision. What a terrible way to treat your community and parish. This decision is no better than a Hand-Me-Down, putting the children in and old, used building. this is no upgrade by any stretch. Everyone stand together and fight for the future if the children, parents on the Malone Rd would not be treated like this. Don't let CCMS and the Parish dictate, we don't live in the dark ages any more.

At least have the common sense to keep this school opened until the new school is built, if any school had to be closed, close the one that is under subscribed !

Those of you that were instrumental in this shambolic decision, hold your head in shame! Money rules the world, even the Catholic Church! The very institutions that I have always held dear, are forcing this decision! Shame on you, if any school is to closed it should be St Luke's, let's hope when the tide turns and the full impact of this momentously stupid decision is clear that those people that were so influential are willing to shoulder the responsibility and clean up the mess!

I do not want the schools to join unless there is funding available for a new school just like I was told. My daughter wants to remain at St Marks also and has voiced grate concerns about being in the St Luke's building, she feels misled by her teachers and people she looked up to.

This is a discrace and a farce. The children of both schools will suffer for this in both short and long term. This unsupported move by money motivated decision makers will cause dismay for the community. I hope those responsible for this can face us parents when the short comings of St Luke's building comes to light, which we parents brought to their attention time and again as well as our local representatives who to date have been of no use unless it's voting time they don't want to know. It's a shame they couldn't face us with the truth before now, rather avoid and disregard the people of Twinbrook at every turn. Grow a conscience and do what's best for the children of both schools and not your own selfish agendas with money at the heart of it.. What is the price of a child's happiness and well being these days I ask?

The kids should be able to stay in the same school as when they mix the schools they will be put in different classes and have to make new friends again. This is not something that a young child should have to do!
