These pews are part of the church, not only in the past 200 years, but for all to see for the next 200. Disgraceful if they are taken out.

Removal of the pews would be a devastating decision. The church would loose its wonderful character. Please dont remove these beautiful pews.

Madness! Why rio out such history and quality? Once it's gone it's gone only to be replaced by a cheap inferior alternative. Someone please have some common sense and sense of worth!!!

Hi I am an occasional church goer at All Saints in Kings Langley & feel bad that I don't go enough, but that said I also feel immensely sad when churches of any denomination get closed or as in this case ripped apart. I know this church in Bovingdon & please please lovely folks af our villages will you all sign this petition. It is British heritage & history so why why why when there are so many other evil things going on throughout our wonderful world are things like this even entertained or discussed I ask myself??? We should all make the most of what we have & keep these beautiful places as they where intended to be & remain as so. Thank for reading this & sign ASAP. God bless X

How horrific is there no sence of history, because plastic chairs really give you that emotional contact to the past.

As a regular at this church and a member of several of its committees this prospect breaks my heart. The historical significance of the pews should not be ignored and I feel there are multiple, equally achievable alternatives to create more space to widen the church's scope and the desire to have a place for relaxed worship, that do not compromise the local heritage.
I appreciate that the pews have not been maintained and I am willing to organise their restoration and fundraise for pew cushions, if it means the pews can remain. People who come to St Lawrence are always taken with the beauty of its interior. It is undeniable that the pews are a large part of that and as such should be of large importance to the church. If those leading the church do wish to attract newcomers as they claim, this could be extremely detrimental to that effort.
Please reconsider this part of the current proposal!
