As shocked as each of us were to hear this disgusting news regarding Sr. Maggi, it comes as no surprise to also hear that Sr. Maggi has been right back at school, serving the students and families she loves, despite having been told she is without a job in a few short weeks. She has poured her heart and soul into every child who has been fortunate enough to have been taught by her. This is not the right decision and I can only hope that you feel the love and support you have, Sr. Maggi. We love you dearly!

There are very few teaching nuns. It's been our Great Blessing to have Sr. Maggi at SBC. She is our dogged advocate for math excellence, Vocations for Women and Faith in Catholicism. To remove Sr. Maggi is an insult to her vocation, a slap in the face for supporters of Catholic Educatation and a complete denial of the generousity demanded by our Faith. How do we continue to have faith when there is no Justice?

Losing an teacher as valuable as Sr. Maggi would be a great disservice to not only the students but the entire parish as well.
I would hope that after reading all these comments on what a positive impact she has had in the lives of her students SCB would reconsider.

Not keeping Sr. Maggi is a SIGNIFICANT mistake. We should be begging her to stay. Sr. Maggi has been the "bridge" between the generations of students, parents, grandparents,... who have had the opportunity to experience her love, devotion and dedication to the ideal of a faith based Catholic education.

I cannot even begin to describe how brokenhearted this made me feel when I first heard the news. Sr. Maggi has not only been key to the success of the students going to SCB for the last 30 years, but she has been an integral part of our parish family. I truly cannot believe that Father and the Principle have been able to get away with some of their past behavior, much less this most recent event. I cannot comprehend that one religious figure could treat another religious figure this way. I will not be able to listen to him peach another homily again. The Archdiocese should and needs to step in.... They too should be disgusted with this behavior... As we all are!

I had Sr. Maggi for the last nine years, and she really made sure she connected with every student and made sure they were doing their best. Not only that, but she has a great presence and a major role in the community. She prepared me for high school and made a difference in my faith.

Sister Maggie played a monumental role in my development as a woman and a teacher myself. I think about her often when my days are challenging in the classroom. She is the definition of my education at Borremo and is irreplaceable.
