The feedback I am hearing shows that students are not ready to trade our musical for a gala. Send an email to the school administration today demanding they keep this tradition alive. Post the link to this petition on your Facebook wall so more people know what is at stake.

Disappointed by the decision to scrap the musical next year. The musical enhances both the music and drama departments. I understand that there is a lot of effort and money that goes into the production but frankly the decision makes both schools a less attractive prospect for future students.
Siena & Whitefriars musicals were truely one of the best opportunities that I was given in my time at high school. Meeting new people, gaining music/drama/team skills, building confidence and creating an amazing and high quality performance. Something that both colleges should continue on to enrich their students learning.
I don't go to the school but I do musicals and it is the absolute highlight of my year. Musicals teach you to be confident, versatile, creative and collaborative people who can take initiative as well as develop performance skills. It would be tragic for any school to stop their musicals.
Musicals were the best part of being at Siena. They are one of the only musical theatre related things Siena offers and it's so unfair to take that away from students with a passion and love for theatre.
Fame was genuinely the best experience of my time so far at Whitefriars. I honestly have no idea why the schools would deprive students of the chance to express themselves through the performing arts. This is a great opportunity for anyone who would like to perform and make friends. It is simply unreasonable for the students who really feel at home in the musical environment, and once again is denying students if a great opportunity and experience.
These are the best school musicals in Melbourne. Don't lose them!

As a parent of 1 student in each school who love participating in school musicals I am loathe to believe that any school purporting to provide a rounded education would think this was a progressive course of action. I cant imagine a proposal to participation in ACC Basketball OR football every alternate year would be given any oxygen.... god forbid!
