My son plays for Under 11s for Bentley CC and enjoys playing competitive cricket with the quality of players produced by Shenfield CC. With even parking at risk, visiting teams will find an issue to park

This club needs to be saved. Kids now more then ever need sport to help teach them respect and togetherness also this would have an affect on surrounding clubs as there would be 1 team less to play against. A couple more and all of a sudden there’s no grass roots Cricket any more. Think of the bigger picture

Don't kill off our children's sport. Keep us healthy and fight obesity - local authorities should be promoting healthy living and outdoor activity - not trying to close it down

Local government is to quick to risk any community activitys in order to make a quick buck. Local council seem to revel in undermining local ,traditional community spirit.

With the demise of many cricket clubs in the county of Essex over the past few years, it’s a great shame that a club that is otherwise thriving, catering for seniors and juniors, is having to put up with such poor support and mount such a defence against its own Council - politicians elected to support the people they represent!
