SCC has been a huge benefit to many members of the local community for many years and must be allowed to continue the great work it does.

The club is a huge asset to the local area. It teaches children and teenagers good sportsmanship and encourages physical fitness . I hope the Council reconsiders this immediately.

Sport & associated social interaction is vital to any community especially for youngsters to get them away from Social Media !

Fantastic family oriented club giving hundreds of children the opportunity to play sport and create memories as many before them have had. Brentwood Council need to think of the bigger picture rather than the money.

Brentwood Council. What are you thinking? How is this the right course of action for our community? You should be applauding the volunteers that make this club run, instead in your greed for a few car parking pounds you are happy to destroy what is for hundreds of Brentwood residents, and in particular many children and teenagers, the hub of their community.

The life and soul of Shenfield, a family orientated club that has an illustrious history is being bullied by the council ONCE AGAIN!!! A second home for a huge chunk of my life. #SaveOurClub #SCC

What a shame that the council thinks its right to go back on previous agreements and without thought to the repercussions of not only the club itself but also the local and even wider community. Shenfield CC is a well know and respected cricket club throughout Essex and through its fantastic and dynamic coaching and youth system has produced hundreds of club cricketers and a few professional ones also over the years. It’s status in the Essex cricket commnity is widely respected and has never been healthier. This greed is disgusting and the wider community will again be the ones who suffer if this is not overturned. Putting a club at risk is not acceptable and whoever is involved in this should be ashamed. Once again, volunteers and hard working individuals that’s are offering youngsters an outlet in sport are having this jeopardised purely for council profit.

Absolutely disgraceful actions being taken by Brentwood Council. The club is a huge asset to the local area so I hope the Council reconsider this immediately. Jordan McManus, Ingatestone & Fryerning CC
