My two boys have been playing cricket at shenfield for 8 years plus and during the summer months we all pretty much live at the club. To take it away would be incredibly sad. It's extremely disappointing to hear that the council are, once again, trying to get extra income at the expense of something so great in the local community.

Shenfield CC has a big impact on over 150 kids live's every year.To see children develop their sporting and social skills is fantastic.
Occasionally some progress to play cricket profesionally....one of the leading Premier league clubs who have provided 9 players to Essex CCC...Champions of England.
a VERY important part of the local community.

As part of a community hub , the cricket club is vital for ongoing provision to encourage community based activity and promote a healthy pastime.

Shenfield CC has been a hub for the local community for nearly a century. It is a friendly family environment offering sports facilities in an area where they have quite frankly become scarce. The Club is an extremely important asset for youth development, thousands of young children have benefitted in the last decade alone. BCC has either (1) not considered; or (2) does not care about the social impact of forcing the Club from existence. A serious rethink of its aggressive, short-term view is required to prevent this loss of a great community asset and waste of taxpayer funds.

Busy club at the heart of the community deserves local support from all sides. 100s of children taught important life skills every years, 1000s have benfitted from it inclusive attitude.

Shenfield CC is so instrumental in giving young players somewhere to exercise and develop. Everything should be done to support the club and nothing should be done which will be detrimental.

Having played for and against Shenfield as well as coached there I am somewhat surprised that the council are looking curtail / stop the cricket activities of this thriving club. If there is Anything I can do to stop this and fight against these unnecessary proposals please let me know.
