Brentwood and Shenfield facilities are already so very limited in comparison to neighbouring boroughs.
We already have to travel miles to get to any decent facilities i.e. Supermarket, cinema!
The future looks very bleak for our youngsters thanks to a very greedy council who clearly don't care about the community.

Cricket clubs need support and protection not destruction by their council. I totally support SCC and oppose this plan.

Unbelievable that the council can think of closing one of the few sports clubs in Shenfield

The Shenfield community would be deeply wounded if the cricket club closed. The club is integral to the lives of adults and children alike.

Encourage people to use public transport or bike or taxi to the station instead of covering our beautiful community with commuter cars that siit on tarmac all day, blighting nature.

Hang your heads in shame Brentwood Council. Your callous plan to deprive SCC of the income they recieve from parking will cause the collapse of the club leaving you free to develop the land for housing. SCC is 98 years old and is a real hub of the community. Every day we are hearing stories of a small minority of youngsters making a nuisance of themselves in this area, this will only get worse if facilities like this are lost. Control your greed BBC for the sake of the community that you're supposed to be working for!

Shenfield Cricket Club is an important community sports club that has introduced my daughter to cricket. This has led to the opportunity for her to represent Essex in the U11 girl’s performance squad. This opportunity only arose due to the support and coaching provided by Shenfield Cricket Club

It would be a tragedy to lose Shenfield Cricket Club. It promotes fitness, keeps teenagers off the streets and provides a community for both adults and children. Perhaps consider a park and ride outside of Shenfield instead?
