I am appalled that the Brentwood Council are putting penny pinching ahead of a vital community sporting organisation. Shenfield CC provides hugely beneficial opportunities for exercise for so many children and adults.

Brentwood Council is acting morally wrong and it is an unacceptable use of its funds to spend on legal fees fighting this and also risk an important sporting club in our community

Shenfield cricket club is enjoyed by so many and it's fans span generations. It would really be a tragedy to lose such an integral part of the shenfield community.

Loved the club growing up as a player and even though I’ve stopped playing cricket is so good socially for all ages, and I continue to help develop youngsters there, a huge part of the community

Being an 15 year old and having a local club is great! I've been playing here for 12 years now and have developed not just cricketing skills but made many friends and relationships with people. What this club offers for the community is massive and the all charity work it does is great! What this club gives back is way more then some extra money from a car park.

Open spaces for communities to enjoy are immensely important. If developed this open space will be lost for today’s families and future generations.
