Please keep outdoor dining! It has become an integral part of the Ridgewood lifestyle and should stay as is!

Ridgewood has arguably one of the best selections of restaurants and eateries in the area— just one of the reasons why there has been such an influx of newcomers to the town and surrounding communities during the pandemic! However, restaurants are also still barely holding on / staying afloat. To remove outdoor dining would to be pull back a lifeline for these businesses, which would have a ripple effect upon the greater commercial district as a whole as well as the town’s appeal. I implore you not to let outdoor dining become a thing of the past. New York City wisely chose to keep outdoor dining a year-round feature throughout the city, when it became clear that it was not only a nice-to-have amenity: it was an absolute necessity for the life of the city and its culture. Please do the same.

Save the outdoor dining! Masks may be disappearing for some, but outdoor dining makes it a bit easier for those that are immunocompromised to still go out and enjoy a nice meal as not everyone is ready and willing to eat indoors with pandemic.

Outdoor dining creates such a community vibe and how nice it is that all restaurants can participate not just the ones that have an outdoor area. Love heading into Ridgewood for the outdoor dining!

I have never visited Ridgewood more than I have in the last two years — solely due to the outdoor dining! Outdoor dining brought a unique, vibrant weekend feel. We loved creating family memories safely with closed streets, happy faces, great food & amazing music. Please continue to support local businesses by affording them the opportunity to operate outdoor dining this year :)

It has become part of the culture of Ridgewood. They had to pay for the Spots when it was too cold to use them a least let them get the summer out of it.

The whole reason we started dining in Ridgewood was OUTDOOR SEATING ! If you take it away , we won’t stay ! Lol
Do not take away this new found happiness for so many of us in great need of more outdoor dining !
