A very prominent building in Moorends, everything else has been demolished. This building is a useful community asset, for a paltry £35,000 the Council might as well gift it to the village.

Before all you councellors have finished they will be nowhere or nothing left for you children to go or do anything you should be disgusted in yourselves to even think about taking places away for our future as all your going to invite is more and more young crime because they are bored due to having nothing and nowhere to go

Selling our Crown Jewels without telling anyone especially for £35K is unheard of when it should be £400,000 never mind the papers, parliament should be involved x

This building must be saved from an historical point of view at least, the last building built in 1931 at the beginning of the Great Depression which we have left in the village. The Miners Welfare and the Senior Girls has gone, lets retain the Winning Post. Sold to a developer it could be mown down in a few years time, never to be seen again, just like the others. Its a nostalgic building for the people of Moorends and has served many purposes in its time. Plus the fact people could live there and where there are 'lights on' it is protected up to a certain extent from vandal damage. Let's keep the Winning Post, make it profitable with good business sense. Many ideas going around in my head. there's absolutely no need for the council to sell it at any price!

Looks like the council think the people of moorends are just mugs time to stand up and be heard hope that if the winning post is sold it goes for the right price and not for the price I have seen disgusting that the council think this is acceptable

It's a disgrace to sell this land mark of a beautiful place for such meger amount. Backhander comes to mind of certain people , it belongs to moorends , it's played a major part in the community and still does . Get rid of the people that allowed the sale !!
