Please sign to help us as a community keep one of our treasured buildings. We need to ensure this building is not sold off to be developed into more unwanted flats.
The developers are still pushing to buy our community space for luxury housing. Call your local council office today to demand they block the sale. Send this link to your neighbors so they know what is at stake.

Local Communities need to protect their identities and maintain their own character and facilities. This building has been undervalued both in financial terms and in relation to it's value as a community asset.

A very prominent building in Moorends, everything else has been demolished. This building is a useful community asset, for a paltry £35,000 the Council might as well gift it to the village.

Gutted that this building has been sold for pittance ! My 4 daughters have danced there for many , many years ! Also what about our elderly residents whose only form of communication was to go to the centre for bingo ? Etc .

The winning post has had a huge part in my life and many others. I attended the youth club there with many of my friends in my younger days and I know a lot of my friends still use it now. It will be a terrible shame to see it been put to use that has no benefit to our local community

Market the property so that it can become self supporting. Dont put all of the caretakers wages against the building because she works in other council building as well. It can be marketed so that it does not lose money. If rate payers are prepared to keep it then the council should listen to them.

Before all you councellors have finished they will be nowhere or nothing left for you children to go or do anything you should be disgusted in yourselves to even think about taking places away for our future as all your going to invite is more and more young crime because they are bored due to having nothing and nowhere to go
