Save Our Trees: Kayscreek Estates Sidewalk Solutions

We, the homeowners of Kayscreek Estates in Layton, Utah, deeply value our mature trees—not only for their beauty and shade in drought conditions but also because they reduce highway noise and boost property values. These trees are the heart of our community, attracting new residents and defining our neighborhood’s character. Our time, energy, and capital have been dedicated to their care over many years, and they are a key reason why we love our community.
We reject the plan to cut down 310 of our trees as the sole solution for our sidewalk issues. Other communities, including Logan, Utah, Washington D.C., Florida, and the Chapel Park community in Layton, have resolved similar problems with alternative repairs that preserve the natural environment.
We call on the City of Layton to provide homeowners with the Choice of alternative repair options. Please sign this petition to support a balanced approach that values both our infrastructure and our natural heritage!
