Westwood Church hires police to help manage the traffic going in and out of 41 on Sunday's. I would love to see the state police come help with the traffic flow. Unfortunately, distraction, speed and impatience plays a huge part in the lack of safety on 41. I have seen cars stop for pedestrians only to be passed by cars behind them because they are not wanting to wait for pedestrians to cross. BTW this was the second accident on that road last week. The other involved a Chanhassen public works car being run off the road. Both accidents took place as I dropped or picked up my children from school.

Please make this change! I drive my middle schooler to school every morning and have seen how difficult it is for students to cross 41. I am sad to say that I am not surprised there was an accident at this location. The small flashing lights at the cross walk are very hard to see and If drivers are not turning into the middle school they are accelerating to the highway speed limit.
Please make this change to ensure there are no more accidents.

Just open enrolled at MMW and am astounded by the dangers of this parking lot entrance! I am thoroughly surprised more accidents have not happened, as it is almost impossible to navigate with all the traffic going in and out, not to mention people zooming by at such high rates of speed.

Some people don't stop for a flashing crosswalk sign. Most will not slow down I'm afraid for a school zone sign either. A stop light is our most secure option.

This junction is unsafe for parent drivers let alone kids on foot crossing 41! This unsafe intersection needs a stop light.

The school intersection is scary as a driver to safely navigate without a stoplight. Imagine what it is like for students! Fortunately the student that was hit crossing the crosswalk is reported "fine". However this needs to be a wake up call. Protect students from the possibility being injured or killed by using this unsafe crosswalk.

Please consider a safer school crossing of the road for these children. It IS a highway they have to navigate on their own! Drivers are NOT mindful of the often snowcovered ped crossing as they slow from 55mph to stop!!!

that is a busy road. Flashing lights and fifteen mph at crossing area with a patrol car handy is what a busy highway in russel, pa has.
