Our local Serpentine river moorings at Nairns boatramp have come under attack by the department threatening to pull them down. Currently three houseboats are moored at this spot and will loose their positions should the unused moorings be removed for no reason. The boats moored at this spot, according to locals living in the area, have gotten rid of other less desirable actions that previously took place at the ramp in the evenings.

Keep the moorings. Those boats actually keep the place quiet and safe at night which is way better than what went on down there before. Leave them alone.
