There will be many parents that will refuse to send thier children, age 3, to a school with 16 year olds! I havnt long left school and every year that past year 7s behaviour would get naughtier and cheekier, you'd be shocked by the things 16 years old would get up to these days, I will refuse to send my little girl there, and you can fine me all you want! They strugged with the consultation they held up there which would be the reception and nurses area, and that was adults! and can you imagine when 3/4 year olds are out the yard and there's 16 year olds bullies (which there are) walking past, name calling, I'm sorry there's no chance! and also I have members of my family who work in 2 schools that will be closed, who have thier own children, so they will be struggling to look after my little cousins, just so certain people's pay rolls will increase, it's disgusting and selfish!

Please leave the schools alone!!!! clearly who ever though of this idea was not brought up around here. why change something everyone is happy with it and it works well. It's obvious that whoever is doing this hasn't got any children and does NOT know what it best for them.

leave our school allowend. It a nice little school and the teachers are fab it to far for the little ones to walk and they won't walk in bad weather

the plans have clearly been designed by someone who has no idea how a school is run. there is a dangerous play area full of steep steps planned for nursery aged children to be shared with children who are nearly 12 years old. the teaching area provided is far too small and is still inclusive of children aged up to school leaving age in the learning needs unit. our children will not have the well being fully attended to as the numbers of pupils are simply too many. how can a center manager compare the headteachers who have built up relationships with children amd their families and understand all the childrens needs. will they even know their name? i doubt they will have the time to find out. there are no extra parking facilities for over 300 extra children being dropped off at school. its certainly not safe to walk in there as when we arrived at the consultation evening a child in our group was nearly hit by a car leaving the school car park being driven by staff. clearly driving too fast and to top it off the staff member shouted abuse out of the window in front of the children. porth county is clearly not ready for the younger children. stop these ridiculous plans now. save our schools. save the heart of our communities.

just see common sense about the complications of these super schools ,all you old councilors and council members ,think back to the advantage of smaller schools ,less bullying better one on one tutoring to the children who fall behind ,every teacher knows each child and their parents ,so please scrap the idea of super schools and spend the money on bringing the smaller school up to date with modern technology.

Absolutely ridiculous idea! Raise the standards of tonypandy community college before you put excellent infants and junior schools up there! Why don't you build one big primary school to accommodate the 488 3-11year old children you want to move from their nurturing caring school where they are known as a person rather than a number like what happens in these 'super schools' ! Also by spending an absurd mount of money on rebuilding Tonyrefail comprehensive why don't you put the three comps on the one sit end leave those 3-11 year old children alone!!!!!!

Early education should be an exciting and important part if a young child's learning process. They need to feel safe and secure in a controlled but relaxed environment. Introducing these so called super schools can only lead to a child becoming of feeling a little list and even intimidated by the huge scale of this environment which could have a detrimental affect on their early education. Small is best for our little ones....step by step into the bigger world!

I think these so called super schools are NOT a good idea. I currently work in a large primary school in Cardiff and the school is taking on more and more pupils each new term. the level of work expected of the children is too difficult to enforce as the teaching staff are stretched beyond belief. the children themselves always complain about there being too many people there and. they are intimidated by the amount of adults as well as children. I have also noticed a huge rise in illnesses about school with the children and adults resulting in grades dropping and an excessive rise in school funds being depleted due to having to have supply staff in to cover. I sincerely hope you take these words into account as I fear the school I work in is failing dismally purely due to these factors. it would benefit you to visit a large school and actually speak to the staff and parents to get an true reflection of how things really are in education and not make these decisions while sitting in an office and not setting foot in a school for the past 40 years or so.

The road "safety" measures they plan to put in place are laughable. There should be a 20mph speed limit around every school NOW, not just in 4 years for this "super" school. The raised zebra crossings will not be allowed in Porth as they are on a bus route. There will be no provision for a drop off point for infants, as they have said they do not need to provide one. They might not need to, but they should! That being said, my main concerns for the Porth site are the small play areas provided for all pupils, the little segregation that will happen, and the fact that tihey propose to fit the secondary pupils into the science/CDT block! 5 years of students and a varied curriculum in such a small building? How is that legal?

I think this proposal is ridiculous. The thought of little babies mixing with stroppy teenagers is do daunting. Children worry enough moving from a primary school to a comp. I dread to think what the implications will be.

Safety of all children attending this "super school" should be top priority, instead it seems to have bern completely over looked. Once again it all comes down to saving money and tough to the innocent children it will affect.
