We the undersigned oppose RCT Council plans for reorganisation of schools in Rhondda & Tonyrefail , closing primary schools and creating 3 to 16 schools.
The momentum is incredible. This is clearly a community that will not be ignored.

All the current Labour council proposals for education are not about what is in the best interest of the children it is about saving money to finance the huge raft of unnecessary expenditures in RCT. where do the children's rights, safety and well-being!

I think this proposal is ridiculous. The thought of little babies mixing with stroppy teenagers is do daunting. Children worry enough moving from a primary school to a comp. I dread to think what the implications will be.

Hugely a retrograde step, ignoring the sense of community that is conducive to a child's learning. This is nothing but a cost cutting exercise.

How are families with children of different age groups, struggling on a budget supposed to manage if they are just inside the catchment area (for free transport if there is one set in place) ? Or are they expected to walk their children an hour either way in all weathers?

i am disgraced to hear that ferndale comunity schools 6th form is to close, what about the education of those teenagers who want to stay on in school ?, its rediculose that they will have to have a 7 mile trip to the nearest school that will have a year 6, absolutly disgusting.

Children's safety should be paramount. Have the Authority undertaken a robust and independent safe route to school survey for all schools affected by the proposal?
