The council finally agreed to meet and we have secured a path forward that keeps our live music alive. I am exhausted by this fight but grateful we kept the doors open. We have a lot of work ahead to ensure this remains a permanent reality.

Final supporters
As some of you may be aware, we have been served a noise abatement notice from Peterborough City Council.
Which means either reduce or stop ‘The nuisance’
This weekend we continued with our live music but turned it down to what we considered to be an acceptable level, we have had no guidance from the council as to what level would be acceptable.
Over the last 10 months we have been trying to work with Peterborough City Council, who have received a handful of complaints, to enable us to continue with these events and be in harmony with local residents.
We were assured by the council that they wanted to avoid this action and would when they had evidence speak to us to try and find a solution, but with no further consultation we have been served.
We have changed the times that we have live music on a Saturday from 9pm -11.30pm to 7pm – 10pm
We have our laid back, Sunday Sessions (which are acoustic) from 2pm – 5pm
We reduced when we would have evening live music to one night per week (Friday or Saturday)
It’s taken a lot of hard work to build a venue that bands want to play, and you want to come to see some amazingly talented musicians, and for that support we would like to thank you all.
All we’re asking for from the Council is to have a meeting to talk about the issue and find a solution.

I love live music and the Woolpack is has an amazing community and atmosphere. The Council should work with the landlord to help with keeping it a venue for live music, whilst making sure that the noise isn't being too loud for the locals.
I live nearby at 51A North Street. I can hear the music from my home, but can honestly say do not find this a nuisance. It doesn't go on too long or too late. I understand however that older residents living nearby may be less tolerant and find this an issue.
Community pub revived by new landlord. Provides much needed venue for and employer of local people Music is within limits considerate of neighbours, no trouble we’ll run Venue. Why should one individual stop what is an asset to Stanground
Sound levels at this location have in my opinion been controlled better than most others with consideration for neighbours. Private house parties create more noise and base beats than you will ever hear at the Woolpack.
Important for the pub to be able to host live music and for musicians to have venues to play in. I understand late night noise can be a problem for residents nearby so please establish some reasonable rules that the venue can adhere to
Live music is dying out. How lovely to have a lovely meal while listening to live music.
You don't have to live nextdoor too a pub, If you don't like it move and stop ruining everyone enjoyment

I live about 30 yards from the pub and the music has ever bothered me and my family. I have not been to the pub or meet the landlord however he is running a Business and after the last 15 mths he deserves to do well in my eyes
