SAVE OUR SWIM CLASSES AND CLUB - HUDDERSFIELD
The Huddersfield Salendine Nook and Almondbury Swim classes and clubs operated by Anita Murgatroyd are being forced to close due to no caretaker being provided on Sundays.
These classes have provided years of excellent teaching to many children in Kirklees. They are the best value for money not just financially but the quality of the teachers.
PLEASE sign our petition in order to show support to the club and hopefully reach our MP Barry Sherman for this to be resolved.

Having done life saving lesson in water when I was a child this is an important club that needs to remain in operation. teaching children how to swim and the dangers of open water is imperative as they may be able to save themselves and others if a situation ever arises.
I am fully supportive of the swim school remaining open. My son learned to swim to a high standard by Anita’s swim school. The staff are fantastic, the set up is flexible, creating jobs for teenagers and more importantly teaching a valuable life skill to young children.
Please save the salendine nook swimming technique school. My 3 kids are devastated. Refused to go elsewhere. They're crying.. I'm worried that they'd lose interest in swimming soon. Please let us have this school back. The teachers are excellent.
Anita is providing a valuable service and uses all of her older students to help teach swimming lessons in the water so parents don’t have to get in Even after many issues with the pool Anita has managed to maintain her service which speaks volumes to me
My son has swam for the club for over 4 years and provides an invaluable community and affordable service to other main stream providers. Where else can you take your child swimming for £30 per month and attend as few or as many sessions in the period as you like!
They’re doing a great job here, helping those who are less able, we all need to think about this as a community

My children really benefitted from these. Attending the classes with Anita also got them into water polo! Please look for a creative solution rather than just stopping the sessions. Why not train up some parents to do caretaking duties on a rota?
