Carroll Twp has ordered my family to remove my children's chickens and goats from our property in Monongahela. Please sign our petition to get the ordinance changed in Carroll Twp to permit backyard chickens as our surrounding communities have already done
My kids miss their animals every single day and the township ordinance is the only thing keeping them apart. We are fast approaching our next milestone so please send this link to those who live in our community to help us get the change we need before it is too late.

My kids miss their animals every single day and we need 100 signatures to prove to the township that our community is behind us. Please send the link to your neighbors so we can show the board that backyard animals belong in our town.

I definitely think these people have the acreage to have small animals and chickens. They are also using them to teach their children responsibility, which I think is fantastic. It's time to get with the times. Change the ordinance and leave them be.

They did this to me had to get rid of my chickens I had for 5 years. My kids were devastated. There is farm land all around me and we cant have chickens. The city of pittsburgh is aloud to have chickens and alot of other townships are y cant we. They are healthier than store bought and saves families money and time.

There is a working farm across the street from them and not a single neighbor has complained. I feel they are being singled out for no reason. They have the space, leave them alone!

we had chickens, goats, ducks and pigs in Union twp. on our small farm for over 20 years, when our kids were growing up. I cant imagine a richer, more enjoyable life, and it taught the kids responsibility and compassion. good luck to you

We faced a similar case here in Rostraver Township, PA. Presented our research and facts to council and Won by having the zoning changed. Your voice matters, let it be heard!!! Good Luck and God Bless!

Chickens aren't any more disruptive than cats and dogs. I'd suggest changing the ordinance - maybe ban roosters as a compromise? But it's silly to consider hens a problem.
