this is a ridiculous decision and outragous that we only found out once the decision had been made!

My daughter will be forced to walk 20 minutes to the nearest bus stop and in the type of weather we have that is unacceptable! We need more bus services not less!

Does Arriva think everyone on this estate owns a car, no is the answer,Arriva has already cut coming right into our estate and now it doesn't want to even enter the estate, ridiculous!!!, our daughter inlaw uses this bus (x13) every day for work at Newcastle uni. We only have 1 bus and your taking that as well unless were prepared to walk a considerable distance for it, I don't think so, Arriva your making a big mistake doing this please reconsider, thankyou.

It's an absolute disgrace! I thought we were supposed to be encouraged to use public transport. It will be really difficult for people further in the estate to walk to South Newsham Road especially the elderly.

This is an unfair decision to the many residents of this area who will now have to walk to either South Newsham Road or to Amersham Road. Not enough notice/consultation had been given to this change. I have been given different excuses for the change. One being to save time on the route or because there are not enough travellers who actually pay for the service as it is all bus passes ??? We only get 1 bus every 30 minutes coming down Sandringham Drive whereas Newcastle Road gets the X10 and X11 every 10 minutes. Please listen Arriva.

We need to keep this bus stop, think of the older residents on the estate, you could take their independence from them if you get rid of this bus stop

I have spoken to our MP Ronnie Campbell and gave him a photocopied version of our petition which was at the bus stop and he said he would be in touch with Arriva.

NCC have told me that the route is changing so it goes past the shops on Waterloo Road and this is why Arriva need to save time on the route. So in order that people don't have to walk from Blyth bus station to Waterloo Road residents who live off Sandringham Drive have to walk to South Newsham Road which is much further. What about the older residents who the bus stops on Sandringham Drive? If Arriva need to change the route (which I doubt) why not change the timetable? Who have Arriva consulted? Why do residents only hear about these things after the decision has been made. I agree the whole thing is a disgrace.

The arriva bus and NCC have already decided to change the X13 route because most other people think its a waste time going up sandringham drive. Just goes to show a lack of respect for the residents of South Newham. They even want to remove the community bus stop,s and replace them on south newsham road. The whole thing is a disgrace.

This is typical of large organisations, they say they consult! but with whom. Not the general public. Is life so short that the saving of 2 minutes on this service is vital. This will also lead to the older people of South Newsham being further isolated, thereby putting a greater responsibility on the local council services.

It is shocking that Arriva have spent the money on new buses but making people walk further than the time the bus would take in the first place!

It is a disgrace that no-one was consulted on the estate regarding this. We've already lost one bus stop and now face the prospect of a 20 minute walk to the nearest one. That is okay for younger folk but there are a lot of older people who use these stops too.

One bus stop has already gone from the centre of this estate why take another 2? I thought this government wanted to improve public transport! Would be interested t ok now when the survey happened and how many from this estate were surveyed.

Why should the bus not come into Sandringham meadow, I have got teenage daughters and I know they are safe getting on and off the bus near our home. We also as a family use the bus to go to Newcastle and Cramlington why not remove two of the bus stops on Amersham road which are opposite each other and leave one bus stop on Sandringham drive instead of two?

I use this service to travel to work in Newcastle. We already have to endure a longer than necessary commute to tour through Cramlington without adding an extra 10 minute walk, most often in bad weather. The fact that we will be getting a worse service even though ticket prices are continually rising is a disgrace. At least I am able to make the extra walk, the older or disabled may not be able to and as this is the only service into the estate it may cut them off from essential shops which is unacceptable.

Perhaps some of the bus stops on Amersham Road, which are on different sides of the road but extremely close to each other could be released instead if the decision is being taken in order to save time. The bus service should service both sides of the estate equally.

I am signing this petition because i use this service to travel to work and to remove it from coming through the estate is only to benefit ARRIVA, as said by another person Newsham Farm gets a service through so why should the residents on Sandringham drive have to do without,we only have this service where as other areas in Blyth have numerous buses. Has consideration been given to the winter months when the walk to the main road is unpleasant for commuters-i think not, older people and disabled people are going to suffer through this. The cost to the council to errect the bus shelters has been a waste of tax payers money. We have had no communication or consultation from Arriva or Northumberland county council on this matter, the general public as usual are the last to hear about changes-changes that are usually signed and sealed before anything can be done..

We don't all have cars its a long walk to the main road for some people, we have just got out bus shelter built why should newsham farm have all the bus routes?
