Latino Books Y Mas is the only general bookstore that sells books to the area high schools including Palm Springs High. These books are used in the AP and Honor classes. Latino Books Y Mas is a cultural center. Latino Books Y Mas does book readings at elementary schools through their character Nacho Libro. Latino Books Y Mas was awarded the “Palm Springs Human Rights Commission, “Close to Home” award on April 2011. Latino Books Y Mas provides general books for tourists and locals alike. We need more “mom and pop” stores like Latino Books Y Mas in downtown Palm Springs.
