Do we really need another take away? Especially one in the oldest part of the town amongst three grade II buildings. Burger Bar in front of the church attached to the oldest pub and across from the old free school.

There goes the charm and historic importance of our tiny West Yorkshire Town.

Updates

February 12, 2015

The feedback regarding the proposed development has been substantial and reinforces the need to protect the historical character of our town. I am currently coordinating with local preservation groups to ensure our concerns reach the planning committee in a formal capacity.

a late night burger bar coming out from beneath the church graveyard just doesnt cut the mustard to be honest....& built in an old toilets too....uugghhhhhh!!! We already have enough takeaways ....but even if we didnt...this is soooo not the place to have it. Keep Slawit the little old characteristic village that it is!!!

We don't need another take away. It's surplus to requirements. Not a sympathetic use of the building.

They've destroyed the centre of Huddersfield like this, now they are coming for the villages.

I think slawit has everything it needs in the village , we dont need any more takeaways/shops wat we need is the bit of greenery thats left in the village to be left well alone. were a village not a town centre

take aways do nothing for people's health and well being. Properly managed environments do!
