The Nomads Sports Club is considered the most active and recognized Sports Club in the Philippines. Founded in 1914, it has been at the heart of development of sports in the Philippines for decades.
They are one of the leading sports club that helped revitalize Football in the Philippines by showcasing it via playing at top-flight in the UFL.
It has also been a second home for many people, because it has honed them to be the best at what they do.
Recently, the club is at threat of being closed down because someone has filed a complaint with the SEC (Security Exchange Commission) seeking for the "involuntary dissolution" of Nomads, the reason:
“The registration of Nomad Sports Club must be revoked for serious misrepresentation as to what the corporation can do to the great prejudice or damage to the general public”.
To me and to everybody else, this is unlawful, unfair, baseless, and downright for the purpose of greed and money.
Nomads has never done any harm to the general public, in fact Nomads can only do good for the general public, that's the problem in the Philippines, lack of community space and facilities for the general public, The facilities and organisation are excellent and kids are encouraged to get involved with sports, they even give free Football clinics and give disadvantaged children a chance to better their lives with sports and give them the happiest of times in their childhood,
Please sign this petition and let us show that Nomads deserves to stay and continue to cultivate sports in our country.
Legal counsel is currently reviewing the SEC complaint for procedural errors in the filing. I have scheduled a meeting with the board to finalize our formal response to these allegations.

The current level of support provides the leverage required to escalate this matter with the Securities and Exchange Commission. My legal team is finalizing the formal response to the dissolution complaint to ensure our arguments are firmly on the record. I will deliver these signatures as an exhibit to demonstrate the public opposition to this closure attempt.

My kids grew up playing there. This place is iconic and needs to stay open for the next generation of players.
