Help protect some of the very last natural areas in Spring, Texas by blocking the construction of a Shell gas station, taqueria, and carwash. With-in half a mile of the beautiful native area, home to hundred year old trees, are two gas stations, one car wash, multiple fast food restaurants, empty shopping strips, storage units, a taqueria and much more. Despite the over saturation of unnecessary and destructive construction and infrastructure, Spring continues to develop and demolish rare natural areas which are vital to the native fauna and flora. Be proactive by signing the petition and help preserve the beautiful natural landscape of the Texas piney woods at the corner of Spring Steubner and Holzworth.

Updates

October 28, 2024

I was driving by the site today and saw some heavy machinery near those old trees which honestly made my stomach turn. I keep trying to get someone from the planning office on the phone but they just keep bouncing me from one desk to another so I am going to try showing up in person tomorrow since the silence from them is becoming deafening.

I believe we shouldn’t have to clear land unnecessarily just for another gas station. This area is already saturated.

No more gas stations are needed in our area. There are already 2 on that corner.

We need responsible building practices, not just greedy land grabs at the expense of our natural heritage.
