My teacher Mr. Leake is being wrongly "let go". Mr. Leake has been told he is not being asked back next year to teach because he is not a "good fit" for the school. (in reality a student complained even though he is a wonderful teacher). He also may be wrongly disciplined for a student showing an innapropriate movie in a classroom setting. He did not realize this was happening because students that were not his were flowing into his class and he was trying to deal with it.

The reach of this petition has reached a level that necessitates a formal meeting with the school board representatives. Legal counsel has now been retained to review the disciplinary files regarding the classroom incident. I am finalizing the summary of evidence to submit to the district office for their immediate review.

He's one of the nicest people i've met, he has done nothing but help out the dp women's soccer team.
He is an amazing teacher and coach alothough I play soccer for him he took time on his own to help me study for FSA writing so I could acheieve my goal of a 4-2-2. If I need advice about anything I asked about . He is one of the most caring people I have ever met, moretheless a coach. Dr. Phillips should have pride for teachers such as Mr.Leake. He is a role model for me on and of the field.
I am very proud to be the one of the first people to get this circulating, and I will fight for this because the school's administration is run by people who don't have a clue how to properly handle these situations. Mr.Leake is one of the very few people who still have passion for teaching. The school apparently hates that in their staff, which explains why us students are stuck in boring classroom with teachers who only care about getting a paycheck, not connecting to their students and making sure they're learning in a good environment. I stand by him and any other teacher or student who may have been unfairly punished by a corrupt administration.
Unfair how the scool handled the situation. It wasn't the teachers fault and the student should be disciplined with tampering with school property.
I love Coach Leake with all my heart! He has been a mentor and amazing soccer coach for me! There is no need to take him away he does everything perfectly! No one can ever replace him! Just because he wants to better learning by using different methods doesn't mean anything! let him stay this is obsurd! LET HIM STAY
I don't go to DPHS but I will next year. I'm at SWMS but I still will sign this petition.

When our playwrighting class got switched from Roth to Leake he took us in as if we had him the whole year. Not only was he a brilliant teacher but he was also an amazing friend. Whenever I had a problem about anything I could talk to him and I Appreciated that.
