Mr. Freedman has changed my life through his mentorship and I refuse to stop fighting until he gets the security he earned. We are just shy of five hundred signatures and reaching that mark will force the administration to finally pay attention to us.

Seeing one hundred people recognize how much Mr. Freedman contributes to our school feels incredibly heartening. He changed my outlook on art completely and I am so glad that so many others feel the same way.

Mr. Freedman is one of the only actual TEACHERS at LACHSA. LACHSA accepts public funding for CORE education, but maintains non-CORE staff and instructors, while cutting the best CORE teacher they have. This amounts to a misappropriation of funding.
Year after year Mr Freedman has had to endure this psychological dance with LAUSD. Enough is enough. There is a reason he has been at LACHSA since the beginning. He is a great influence and a passionate instructor. There's no reason he should be forced to retire or let go. SAVE MR. FREEDMAN!
Jerry Freedman embodies the essence of LACHSA. He is passionate about what he does and his commitment has continued to inspire his students, past and present, for 29 years. The decision about when he leaves his position should be his alone to make.
I am an alumni class of 2008. This new principal has no idea how much alumni support he/she is going to loose. Mr.Freedman is the most valuable accedemic asset at that school. I suspect many of our more we'll know alumni will stop making donations to the school after this.
Mr. Freedman was one of my daughter's most influential and cherished teachers. Not only did she expand and grow in his class BUT he CAME to all her performances and supported her and the others. I was so impressed with his dedication and expertise.
It is disgraceful and disrespectful that the LACHSA administration would even consider doing such a thing. That is not how you honor a pioneer and a forefather of an establishment. #dontdoit
Why would you cut a teacher everyone loves and values so much? Ridiculous.

Jerry Freedman taught me how to think. More than almost any teacher I had anywhere, he helped me begin to integrate my interest in art with my desire to understand and make a difference in the world. I'm proud to have been his student, and LACHSA sould keep him on!
