This bill would ruin many great hobbies and training for people. Many law enforcement and military use airsoft guns for training along with helping vets deal with PTSD. It's a amazing game you should go out and play sometime.
With the thought of kids getting shot because of them. It's sad but they didn't do what the police said and so it doesn't matter what they are doing if they have a fake gun or not. If they don't comply with the police there is a very likely chance they will get shot.

To the Members of the Maryland General Assembly
Hi, my name is Mark Fletcher. I am an 18 year old student who is pursuing a career in the military and I have been avid participator in the Airsofting hobby for at about four years now and I have never had as much fun with this hobby then I have with any other form of entertainment. Many people, such as myself, have benefitted greatly from playing or participating in the business aspect of Airsoft, as we have formed close bonds within our niche, supported and kept the industry afloat (which has kept a sizable amount of jobs in the region), and the sport has also given people more opportunities to be a part of a shared and generally passionate community.
Without this hobby, many of us would have wasted away our time cooped in our own houses, instead of enjoying the company of like-minded people. Many people have learned a variety of skills from the sport including but not limited to Leadership values, being able to communicate, using navigational tools and maps, how to work with electronics, and many other sets of skills that have value in the real world. Without this sport, I probably would just remained unhealthy physically and not to sound dramatic, but emotionally, as I have met most of my friends through Airsofting and it has given me something to look forward after a hard week of work and school.
To those in the Maryland legislature I implore you not to pass this legislation, as it would stomp on the community and the values that people have gained from it.
Take care,
Mark Fletcher

Now this is just ridiculous. Maryland's logic is to not blame the person but the gun.

The state of Maryland should follow the path that California took, enact laws that require all replica firearms to have colored markings on the stocks, grips, ect.

It is a great sport that is awesome exercise, plus it gives people a fun and productive way to relieve stress. The guns are replicas not real follow suit from California and just add more orange markings

Please do not let this bill pass. It would affect hundreds of people out there, especially businesses.
