The new bill introduced by the Maryland legislature would effectively kill Airsoft and possibly Paintball in the state of Maryland. The bill states that Airsoft guns (classified as imitation firearms) would be illegal to own, sell, resell, and transport. Any and all businesses associated with Airsoft or Paintball would cease to exist. Airsoft is the only sport i play and my only hobby. Its my stress relief and almost like a mini vacation..i wiuld say theres something very therapeutic about it. Being out doors or indoors with people all with the same intentions of having a good time.
Airsoft is a wonderful sport that teaches many virtues to our youth. It is sometimes mistaken as dangerous because of irresponsible others. Please do not punish the vast communities of players on the behalf of a few. This is truly a great sport
As a mother of two teenagers, that love air soft, I can say that: Air soft is a sport that is played in a very safe and controlled environment. It teaches kids discipline and sportsmanship. It forms friendships and is a lot of fun.
Airsoft builds a community of sportsmanship and camaraderie like no other. Plus, allowing civilians to mix with veterans and connect in a harmless way brings only good to the table. It's all about the learning experience, and the good fun!
This doesn't stop criminals from misuse, only legitimate sport/hobbyists from doing what they love. Actual Airsofters are very careful about what they have and know the ins and outs of safe transport, operation, and guidelines.
I have only recently got into the airsoft game, but being that i loved it the first time going, it is an excellent way to get out and get some exercise while having fun
I’ve played this sport for years and many of use don’t use it for malicious intent just to have fun and play our game and this could stunt the enjoyment in the sport

Airsoft is a sport that teaches gun safty, honesty, sportsmenship, leadership, integrity, teamwork, and is a great character development for people. You meet so many nice people in this sport. Why would you take somthing like that away?
