There is nothing wrong with airsoft or paintball, it is a sport just the same as football, soccer, etc.

Maryland and other states need to know that the ones who play in these activities spend our well earned money on airsoft. The fun times and serious times that myself and others have had while playing airsoft will never go down the drain. Please Maryland and other states, hear us out.

This is like any other sport, don't ban it because a select few did something wrong with their guns. That's like backing golf because some person got wacked with a club. This bill is uncalled for.

As an American Patriot, I must protect the rights of the people. Firearms regulations that make things like imitations illegal pave the roads for tyranny. I hope the people of Maryland understand the strains this bill will cause and the freedoms lost.

Bills like this one do nothing about gun violence, they only restrict the rights of those who own or play airsoft responsibly. The entire sport should not be punished due to the actions of a very few. Removing this sport from the state it would not have any change on gun violence and would close down several legitimate businesses.

Don't ban this sport/ hobby. I have been playing airsoft for fifteen years now. I've played with our law enforcement officers, fire fighters, bounty hunters, active military, veterans, and our children in multiple states I've lived in . Not only do members of teams become family but it teaches gun safety to our children allows law enforcement and active military, bounty hunters ect. Training . It really is an honor sport and in a world of technology gets our children outside away from Xbox and playstation and teaches them how to be social. It also shows them team work. You need to realize this is a very therapeutic sport. I've brought veterans to my field who have been through life changing traumatic situations over seas and watched them turn into a happy problem free person again when they arrive and are overwhelmed with handshakes and thanks for your sacrifice comments from everyone at the field. For those hours at the field they seem whole again . What will taking this sport away from us do? It's not gonna stop killings or robberies it's simply going to destroy people's lives people that have put everything they have into there business or field. You're going to make criminals out of law enforcement, active military, veterans, children, fathers, mothers, normal hard working people criminals? What will this stop?

It is unnessory to try to take something away that doesn't clarify as a weapon. Take something that entertain the youth and adults as well. That can help keep young kids from the streets as well.
