The manager and assistant manageress go to great lengths to create a shop that is as welcoming, interesting and easily navigated as possible. Everything is done with precision and care, with the customers always in mind, from the carefully put together window displays to the regularly updated stock.
Most of the many volunteers, myself included, have been with the shop for several years and it has become almost a small community where all ages and cultures work together for a good cause. I have met so many wonderful people through this charity, and my time there has been invaluable. It's close would be a great loss to the local community hence why this news has hit many of us hard, customers and volunteers alike.
We respect the decision to close the shop, but we do not agree with it. We want to show those in charge how much this small shop is valued, how much it will be missed and hopefully change it's fate.

The people running this charity are currently ignoring us but this wave of support proves they cannot hide from the community forever. They think we will just roll over and accept this closure but they are dead wrong.

This shop not only helps raise funds, it also raises the profile of the charity. The staff, many of whom are volunteers, go out of their way to help customers if they are looking for something specific. Perhaps senior managers could consider other ways savings could be made, for example not opening on a Sunday when there is less trade, or their own remuneration for the charity as the volunteers are unpaid.
Please find a way to keep this shop open - charitable donations and contributions to cancer care is essential through shops like this one.
A worthy cause for a shop. Don't let it shut down and become yet another betting shop, bringing poverty to the area!
i was bought up and went to de bohun and southgate secondry shool chase rd.my uncle was from new southgate and all i can say is marie curie helped him for a long time ....i hope god rewards you all for the work everyone of you do i live in inverness,scotland and as beautiful place it is i love southgate many happy memories.god bless you all.
This is a welcoming and friendly shop that is part of the community and does good at the same time. It needs to stay or it will become yet another betting shop or coffee chain!

Hi everyone, this is Olivia. I'd just like to thank you all very much for your support- your signatures showed how much you all care about the shop and the comments were greatly appreciated. Unfortunately the shop is still going to be closed down! We are due to close January 10th and none of us can believe it...but at least we went out fighting. Thank you once more, best wishes and come see us if you can before we go for good!
