without this school many of my closest friends might not have made it through high school. Don't do this. it hurts more children then it helps.I barely made it through high school, mostly because didn't feel personal so I went through it with the mentality they don't care do why should I. had I gone here, I would have excelled like many of the kids have Aty this school. this school saves lives. don't take it away from future generations.

The school change my life in so many ways had I not attended high school I would not have graduated high school. At Longview it's like a community the kids do their own recycling they do their own cleaning because they feel a sense of pride that this is their home. At Longview I learned real life experiences hands on experience and in so many ways I think Longview for the woman I am today if you look back at the students that graduated they are all successful loving caring individuals with so many of them giving back to the community because of the sense of community that they felt well they were there it would be an actor disgrace to close this amazing school and I would do anything I could to keep it just the way it is good like phoenixes you will rise above the ashes.

In the year that my daughter has been attending Longview, I have seen her come alive again. I never thought I would see her happy and excelling in school again. Longview is her home and her community. Please don't take that away from her and her fellow classmates. They are a true family at Longview and I would be crushed to see it torn apart.

This school saved my life. If I hadn't found this school I would have just been another drop out stastic. I excelled at this school where as at a normal high school I was failing. I got to experience things I NEVER would have gotten to and i got help in things I needed with out a text book judgement. If anything I miss being in school, i miss the community, the friends, and the family. Youre not just breaking up a school youre breaking up a home! And just to save what? $5,000 a year? Shame on you!

Students need Long View exactly where and how it is. I wouldn't have graduated if it wasn't for the small community that Long View creates with it's sudents and teachers. Keeping Long View where it's located is what's going to keep that community alive and thriving. Long View is there for students that just don't fit in with big schools, so why would you want to move them into a bigger school?

I've seen the effect this school has on its students. One of my employees went here, and I don't know that I had ever met someone so determined to finish their education like she was. If they don't want to move this place, I doubt it's a good idea to do so.

I am a past graduate from this amazing school. I can honestly and whole-heartedly say that Long View has made me who I am today. Without Long View I don't know where I would be or if I would be achieving the things I am now. This school is not just another school, it's a family. A home. If Long View was combined into another school it would completely defeat the purpose of what Long View is. We come to this school because a traditional high school setting does not and will not work for us. Moving into McLain would set us back into a similar setting that just won't work. When I first went to visit Long View as an alternative option, as soon as I stepped foot in this school on top of the hill, I knew it was the school for me and once I began to attended it was life changing. This school both helped me in learning and retaining knowledge ( both book-wise and life wise ) that I will keep and use for my life. Long view also helped me grow as a person and push my boundaries and do things I never imagined I'd do. Long View will always be my second home and it is a place I visit when I feel lost or just to say hi at the end of a school day and I am welcomed with open arms from the wonderful teachers and fellow students. If long view was ever to be relocated and especially combined into another school it would kill the true soul of the school and would never have as much of the life changing impacts the school has on each person who attends. Long View is separate and was put where it is for a reason and to try and change that is heart breaking for me and my fellow past graduates, current students, and future students to be. The things I've learned, the friends I've made, the mentors I have found in the teachers and workers of long view, and having Long View both treated and being physically a separate school is crucial and necessary to continue to flourish.

I don't go the school but I know a lot of very good friends who do and many of them maybe wouldn't have graduated and gotten where they are currently if it wasn't for Longview. The school can't be removed because of the amazing atmosphere and people that are there. The school has a vibe that can't exist if it's combined with another school, it won't work for the students to go back to what they had left before. You can't move a swimming fish from the water and put it in a tree and expect it to succeed in climbing it, that's why they belong in the water. The same goes for the students at the school. Longview does something for the students that attend that a massive school just can't do. There's no personal relationships between students and teachers at large schools, unlike the small school of merely 60 students where everyone knows everyone. The school cannot be removed because of that.

We need more schools like Longview. Please don't take this place away! I've been graduated for over a year now and I still go back just to visit once every month or so. This place is a second home, not just for me but for many people.

I would not have graduated if I went to a regular school this is an amazing school that deserves to stay in it's place. Longview is a school where everybody knows everybody and everyone is cool with each other I made more friends here then anywhere else I actually felt liked and wanted here. The school is like it is for a reason you get more one on one time with teachers and the view in the back of the school is for us to look at the LONG VIEW and it's peaceful and the students learn way better in that environment we are not just a school we are our own community and that's how it's worked for so many years because of the way longview has been and how it should stay.

Long View's current location is an enormous part of what the school is period. To take that away will be the death of Long View and I find that deplorable.
