I liked the small school family feeling of the school bringing it into McClain would be a bad idea.

Without this school, I never would have graduated. I never would have become the person I am today either. And this school is the last shot for so many people. Because it's so close knit and unique, it basically guarantees success. Do not take away these people's last hope. Do not take away my second home.

Please do not do this. Longview is special in ways I can not even describe. It completely changed the lives of two of my daughters. What makes this school so special is that it is a community of its very own, with a dynamic that can not be replicated if you merge it with another school. The kids feel safe and the community is small and intimate and they trust each other and the staff at Longview. If you change the location and put it within another school, it literally changes everything. There should be more schools like this - there is just something special about it and it changes and saves kids' lives. You can not take that away - these kids are our future. If anything, you should be investing in Longview and even trying to duplicate it. Don't destroy something special.

When I came to Longview I was so lost and I never thought that I would ever graduate. I did more than that. This is the place where I learned respect, responsibility, and found out the type of person that I wanted to be. Longview isn't just a school for outcasts. It is a place where people who need a little extra love can go everyday and learn regular curriculum as well as important life skills. Don't take this away from our future youths.

Longview HS has been serving kids in a special way giving them a school they can call their own. Please do not relocate the school and change it from what it is. We need to keep schools which offer different and unique opportunities as our children are all different and unique and thrive under different conditions.

This is an extremely important cause and place to me.. literally my home away from home... please please, please do not relocate Long View, you really don't understand just how important this school and this location is to so many students and past graduates.. relocating this school and placing it at McLain would not only take away the truely one of a kind, unique learning atmostshpere that this location brings to students, but it would take away the opportunity for students to further their education who aren't as adaptable to bigger school like settings; like McLain.. moving this school would be like displacing a small village, one that works on helping young students and people to better not only themselves for their future, but it helps us young people "learn to love to learn" again, something that many of us had lost all sight of before coming to Long View.. my old highschool telling me i didn't have even half the credits to graduate come my senior year and recommening Long View to me as "an alternative place of stay for my education" was the best thing that they had done to benefit my education.. without Long View i would not be able to say i will be Graduating this May... Long View is truly unique, unlike any other public school in the whole state of Colorado, its a safe haven for anyone who goes to school there or has attended there in years past.. you can ask any of the previous graduates or current students; PLEASE DO NOT TAKE OUR LITTLE HOME FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL. It doesn't belong crammed into another school, it is a school all its own and we would all like to keep it that way for many years to come.. thank you for taking the time to read this and please carefully consider the severity of this matter, not only to the people who work and attend or have attended Long View but to this state as a whole.. Long View is literally benefiting the success rate of highschool education students across the state, without Long View these students, the very seeds o

My brother and best friend attended this school and it had the best impact on their life. My best friend was a teen mom and this school didn't bully her and showed her the support her other high school didn't. My brother was bullied all through school and this was a breath of fresh air for him. He made friends and actually enjoyed going to school. This school is the most amazing place I have ever seen and I'm really upset that I wasn't able to go here when I was in school.

I struggled at a regular high school. Before I found Long View, I don't think I ever would have graduated. The small size and the relationship you build with your teachers is very significant to the students. Since graduating from this amazing school, I've built a great life. I have two beautiful kids, I own a home, I'm married and I've been able to use the community service type things we've done on my resume for future careers. If this school is moved into McLain, it will not only potentially ruin the lives of many students attending now, but of the students who have attended in the past as this is the school that turned their lives around and gave them a new start. You're looking at the possibility of students dropping out due to this change. Please re-think and save Long View!

The students served at Longview are much different those served at McClain. I think it is a mistake to have the Longview program out of McClain. It could disrupt the McClain programming.

This school was a life saver for my daughter. The way they run the school is like no other I've ever seen. Please help to keep this school the same so that students will want to go to school and learn to love it!

My son was being bullied and just quit going to a traditional big school. When we found Longview it was a huge turning point. He was accepted into the Longview family, started to believe in himself, and has made huge strides. These kids are different in a fabulous way. They need to be in this home away from home. They need to be separate from the big school. None of them are comfortable there. Next thing you know they will get rid of the whole program leaving others who need Longview lost. They need their own space, their wonderful little building. These kids and teachers deserve to continue making these huge accomplishments. My son would not be where he is without this family.

Attending LongView saved me and forever changed who I am. Throwing it into the exact environment the students are trying to avoid would change this amazing haven for so many young people with such great potential! Don't take that away!

I graduated from Longview in 1999. It changed my life. It serves a profound need. I was able to graduate from college with a degree in nursing. I am now a labor and delivery nurse. This never would have happened if not for the excellent teachers and loving environment at Long View. The school is defined by its space. Long view needs to stay where it is.
