Maidstone is already dying on its arse. Don't let this be the final nail in the coffin. Earl Street has some great music venues and one of the few decent places around for live music.

Vehicle access must be maintained for loading and drop off of equipment. It is madness that this hasn't been considered and I am deeply concerned about the future of the venues that will be affected as well as Maidstone's culture of live music.

Would be a very sad day if we loose these venues for live music just because of pedestrian paving. Would all the shops etc. be able to dictate to their delivery companys a time of delivery. If so think how crowded of lorries etc. it will be in the mornings.

Absolute madness, the town needs live music and these venues are known throughout Kent for their music, without that they will lose a lot of their customers and make their businesses non-viable!

Please consider the culture of this part of the town centre - please make the necessary allowances to enable disabled access and loading/unloading of musical equipment.

What a terrible idea! If my mum and I eat in Maidstone I often bring the car up there to pick her up because she can't walk any distance after eating since she has COPD.
