Please don't underestimate the value of Lisa Gray's contributions to the Chronicle! Her column is one of the best things about the local paper. The new emphasis on news reporting is a welcome change, but Lisa Gray’s position at the Chronicle, including her role on the editorial board, is one thing that should be retained.

I have maintained my long-time subscription to the Houston Chronicle out of a sense civic pride and duty. Lisa Gray's column is the best thing the Chron had going. I don't know how long I will shell out for what's left of the paper without her column.

the newspaper business is a tough one these days and tough decisions must be made and i do hope that the new management at the chron listen to the readers (the customers) LG is a huge value to this paper and does have a strong/loyal (perfect demographic) following...keep her where she was

If it was for Lisa's article on the Deer Park Prairie I doubt it would have been saved. She brings many things to our attention that most of us are not aware of.

Lisa is one of the ONLY columnists that I read...She is a great writer and has the correct sensibilities and awareness with regards to Houston's pulse in development and historical value.
