Please do not kick these people from this area. They have no where else to go and need security of a home.

Policies that put profits first and people last only subsidise the already wealthy developers and underwrite the banks. They do this at our expense and with our tax dollars. They buy votes and prolong the housing crisis. Take the profit motive out of housing.

Housing is a sacred right. We can't call ourselves civilised or advanced if we allow homelessness. If we travelled back in time to explain to our ancient cave-dwelling ancestors that one day only some of us would have shelter it would be incomprehensible. To be an ethical society we have to care about each other ! This is the 21st century ; Time to be better !

Terrible decision. These people are not hurting anyone and in the worst housing crisis in years this government goes after the most vulnerable people. Let them stay!

The state must take responsibility and provide safe and comfortable housing for all in this situation, paid for by stopping corporate tax avoidance.

Where else will they go? Where is affordable housing being built in the Region?

I live up the road in Lake Heights and the residents of this campsite are great neighbours who deserve a stable home.

These evictions are absolutely outrageous. Not only has the government failed these people by letting them sleep rough in the first place (we could house them), the council wants to force these people to disappear so they can sweep it under the rug. Everyone deserves a safe place to go.

These people have no where to go otherwise they wouldn't be there. I drive last regularly and they haven't trashed the place. Give them a break.

It's sickening that when a group of homeless people band together to form a community and take care of their needs that local government step in to destroy that... But I suppose the local government has to because it highlights their inadequacies. These people are taking action to support each other while local, state and federal government stand by and do nothing.

They should be given homes, not evicted.
