I’m concerned that politicians, those with houses, are dictating a non equitable and hypocritical rule against the homeless in Australia, making an already difficult situation even worse. If the powers that be don’t want people to stay at Kully Bay then find them a safer alternative

Please let these people be. They deserve shelter. Don't make them be on the streets.
Any of us could be in the same position one day

Let them stay. Be kind. They aren't hurting the area or anyone. They are making the best of a situation that so many of us are lucky not to be in. I hope you all get to stay and kindness is spread.

Until there is a true solution for our local Illawarra locals, then let them stay at the lake. They hurt no one.
My carpark building in Wollongong has many homeless sleeping rough every night...people are out of options with the current cost of living.

Show some compassion in all my 26 years of living in the Illawarra that car park was never utilised only for random breath testing If anything this should show the need for more safe and permanent spaces for people living in vans and caravans . Do better

I would like to see the pollies of both stripes, Liberal and Labor, cast out onto the street to see how they like it. And all the more so, if they are from Council.
