We shouldn’t be even considering such an ill thought through planning application. Shame on Harrogate Borough Council for trying to force this onto the Calcutt Community.

Once again Harrogate Borough Council are riding roughshod over small localities to further their own ends. These sites should be fairly spread around the area not shoehorned into a tiny proportion of the area purely to suit the COUNCILS total lack of regard for residents outside Harrogate - eg the questionable incinerator now towering above the skyline on the old A1 that went against all common sense and several if not many planning guidelines. But of course it wasn't in Harrogate, so seemingly that's OK if you are on the council. Staggered by the level of stupidity shown by this group of councillors over many issues in the area, but sadly not really surprised.....

I recently moved here to be near the green open spaces and part of the local community. These plans threaten to destroy the equilibrium of both. We must protect our Greenbelt!

Protect the greenbelt in this lovely part of the world. It's there for a reason.

‘Green belt’ should be non-negotiable. It provides the oxygen for the towns to breathe.

Save our greenbelt. If greenbelt can continue to be 'taken out' against objections, why have greenbelt at all. The whole point is that it is protected.
