Many kids are already part way through their award and have put so much time and effort in already. It would be a travesty to pull the plug on this amazing scheme.

Anybody that has been and seen what these groups do for young people will know what an absolute travesty losing them would be. Kirklees Council should be ashamed of themselves for even considering it!

My daughter absolutely loves coming to this - she has DS and for her it provides her with time with her friends in a very safe place during the long summer break and something to aim towards during the week. It is a vital resource

This is ridiculous as it is one of the few activities that my autistic son can participate in with his peers from his mainstream school. Typical short sighted Kirklees council!

They took it away once before & it was brought back. This is a fantastic opportunity for a lot of young people of all ages & abilities. Do not let this scheme go!

Did my DofE with Kirklees. An award that gives young people so many skills and opportunities. Would be silly to prevent others getting the same opportunitis.

I did my full Duke of Edinburgh. I was also a youth leader at the age of 16! The DofE really boosted my confidence
