Students at John F. Kennedy High School are hard workers, technologically literate, problem solvers, effective communicators, and responsible citizens. We deserve to have an increase in school spirit through spirit week's, school activities, and more. Student council's work hard to propose activities but our admin continuously shut them down. As students, we would like to voice our concerns in having more activities in school. #SAVEJFK BECAUSE WE DESERVE IT!

The student council is currently drafting a formal proposal to address the recurring rejection of our school events. I appreciate the stories many of you have sent regarding why these extracurricular opportunities are essential for our community.

The level of engagement this petition has received highlights the shared desire for a more vibrant environment at our school. This momentum demonstrates that our collective concerns regarding student activities are both valid and widely felt by the student body.

I think the students should be heard and they should allow them to dress down!! Every school is doing it and it's only fair for them.They work hard to make these activities and I think they should be able to participate
I do not go to this school, I go to Father Duenas but JFK should have as much school spirit as they want and you can increase in students if you accept these activities #saveJFK
I believe, for a school with the best SAT scores, we deserve a little more leniency when it comes to school spirit... I mean after all, who's to harm ? All we really are doing is representing OUR school, as stated in the name "School spirit weeks"
We deserve a dress down. All schools do it, what's so wrong? When we had a dress down before, the outcome was well. Teachers do it everyday, staff, and faculty dress down everyday. Where's the equality? To feel safe, or to feel threatened? Save our spirit, save our souls, #savejfk We care for future generations. Don't let them walk into a school of hostility.
I believe we should be able to have fun activities to reward the students for their hard work. We won't be able to show school spirit if we are always being turned down.

I don't like participating in Jfk events, but only because they're just too boring to go to due to the fact that the school is too strict. If the school system and admins were less strict so our student councils could make our last year of school before the real world hits us, that would be amazing. Also, I can guarantee you that I would participate in school activities if it was more fun and less restricting
