Please abide by your commitment to community access and delay the sell-off until the community asset transfer option is assessed fully.

Selling off the town hall, resulting in the closure of HTHAC will result in the closure of over 50 small local businesses, the loss of locally provided, living wage jobs and the closure (once again) of a local facility to local people in favour of external investment what will not benefit the community in any way. Haringey is completely lacking in any other large scale arts/ culture venues and the decision to close this after just one year in order to open up the area to commercial development would be both misguided and not in the best interests of the community that the council is elected to serve.

This is a vital, loved building which belongs to the community. Furthermore, we have proved over and over, that ,if truly in public hands, it would be well used.

This community driven town hall is a vital part of crouch end. It brings business to crouch end as well as a deeper sense of community. Please consider all options before a commercial venture is accepted.

I have a growing music studio business in Crouch End. The use of the theatre, rooms and environs would greatly help the business. Since it is the most central large structure in Crouch End and is the TOWN HALL, it should remain a public building that the community will support and use.

My school's annual Prizegivings were held there in the 1950s/60s and I later worked there in the Town Planning Department 1966-70. To see the town hall and auditorium in the condition they now are brings tears to my eyes. Shame on LBHgy!

Hornsey town hall is a perfect fit for Crouch End. It is brilliant multi-purpose venue that the local community alone would be able to fill with events, classes, gigs, exhibitions, markets and more. But it would also attract a much wider audience or exhibitors due to its unique and versatile capabilities and its very welcoming locale. To do anything other than use it for creative and community purposes would be a travesty.

Please ensure this is retained as a via outlet for the arts and as a public resource for residents of Haringey. (Even though it is in the west of the borough.) We don't want to see it locked up for another 30 years.
