Help save Hornsey Town Hall - campaign for community ownership

i have lived in Crouch End for over thirty years and want this landmark building to be owned and run by the community in which it proudly sits.

Should be kept as a community resource for the benefit of the people of the borough.

Please do not sell off one of the most iconic north london buildings to the detriment of the area.

This building belongs to the community! Stop handing over our finest assets to private developers.

Please do not let another venue (with a great dancefloor) which is loved by the community, to be lost to private development.

Please do not sell off this building! Secret cinema and the art fair - so enriching for our community. No private developers please!

Please listen to the people of Crouch End and save this beautiful building and part of the local community.

We must stop turning over public spaces, built with public money, to private developers. London needs its community spaces.

By all means build property on council owned brown field or on the acres of TfL land, but unique community assets such as Hornsey Town Hall should be protected.

Please give urgent consideration to the attached request. The Council has delayed for so many years on HTH that another 6 months will make no difference and may ensure that the CIC has the full chance to put together a viable bid to run the Hornsey Town Hall.

One of the major attractions of Crouch End is the HTH itself along with it's frontage. (Fountain and green). Without this, Crouch End would loose this image as a 'local village' which is so unique.

Too much community property is being sold off.

Architecturally speaking this building is one of the last structures that should be cherished and saved. Similarly, the loss of the green space in front of the town hall would be against our duty to protect green areas in the ever increasing urban sprawl of london

The Town Hall was built with public money, for the benefit of the local community and should NOT be sold off to private developers. It has been criminally underused for many decades but has so much potential.

Please keep our Hornsey Town Hall. Crouch End would lose so much if it ceases to be a public space / communal asset to share! The internal architecture of the building is stunning and should be maintained as it is, rather than converted into apartments. Please listen to those who love Hornsey Town Hall and don't sell to a developer! We would love to use it as a community space for all sorts of events including theatre, cinema, dance, or just as a meeting place for the community. The offices inside could be cafes, arts and craft exhibition spaces, or hired out to local interest/ discussion groups. The place could become a vibrant hub of the community of Crouch End and beyond!

This building is too special to be turned into a hotel-the fact it was left empty for so long is criminal.
