This is an absolutely beautiful building in an absolutely key and central location. The decision on the usage of this building will have an enormous impact on community life for decades to come. Crouch End needs more community and arts spaces, and here is this iconic building right at the heart of the place. Please don't let it be sold off for private development in the name of short term profit. Let's create something that everyone involved will be proud of.

Public ownership of major historical buildings is essential to safeguard them for future use and for the community.

The Council are only interested in short term financial profit rather than long term community investment - which is worth much, much more

Sad and unbelievable to be forced to have another petition again after that impressive, well organised and professional 'Crouch End for the People' campaign organized over a decade ago. People's commitment remains, but so, it seems, does Haringey Council's cynicism. Let's remember that successful campaign to stop the lap-dancing club, how great it is to have a cinema there and some culture instead of more coffee shops and try to muster the support that is definitely here.

This is a vital community asset not a milch cow for Harringey to off-load to bloated developers. We, the local taxpayers, paid for it, we want to use it.

The Town Hall is vital to Crouch End and its residents. It represents the community spirit and should be preserved. Enough with the property development and luxury flats craze!!

Hornsey Town Hall is a vital space for the community of dancers who breath life into it every month, and to which I belong, alongside the many others who use it. Community space is vital to people's well being and is threatened throughout london by commercial development and increasing rents. Please keep Hornsey Town Hall open for the community!

I can vividly see my best friend Faye's first dance show performed at Hornsey Town Hall in themid eighties. We were seven. My first experience of the theatre. Leave the town hall for the community. It can then inspire others.
This is a disgrace!
