Hornsey Town Hall is a community asset and should be saved for the community. It would be a travesty if it is sold off to a private developer.

Despite being neglected for many years, in a very short space of time, the Town Hall is now a huge asset to the local community, and a fantastic event / social space for the young and the old.

Given the amount of time that has passed since proposals for the redevelopment of this superb building were first mooted, I see no reason to rush through the sale of the building to developers now, without giving the local community a fair chance to put forward a properly costed and financially sustainable alternative option.

I have used the Town Hall weekly since it reopened. It is exquisite and everything about its design speaks of public good , not profit for the few.
