Our town hall is a local amenity and should be run by and for the benefit of the community. To sell it off to a developer for them to make a huge profit with no good outcome for people who live and work in the area is an abuse of power.

It must be for the community and if housings involved,the majority of it should be for social housing or rental only

Great things have been achieved at Hornsey Town Hall this year and can only grow bigger and better. The buzz from community / arts events has been incredible and brought new people into Crouch End. Meanwhile lots of practical usage as local people conduct their business here. Local people feel very strongly that their views must be considered and that this asset be retained.

The opening of the town hall has created a focal point for the community, bringing it to life with an exciting creative buzz. Crouch End does not have the infra structure to support yet more dwellings -schools, doctors, transport already breaking at the seams.

Other councils manage to support and encourage enterprising use of such buildings and completely to their benefit - Battersea Arts Centre is just one such. Don't be greedy - keep it within the community who really want it and will make it work

I use the town hall for mindfullness in the morning which is absolutely brilliant and helps people over co.e things like anxiety and depression...would b an awful loss to the community if the town hall were to close .

I lived in Hornsey for 15 years and loved this unique building, In all that time it lay unused, which is such a crying shame. It should be used and appreciated by the people of Hornsey as it was intended. The fact that the Kinks played there is good enough reason for its assured preservation in my opinion. The live music venues in London are being wiped out by new development - bring this one back into use and give Londoners their City back!

This building is a huge benefit to the community and should remain so. I do to weekly dance classes there and regular events, such as the recent gig by the 'Old Dirty Brasstards' and the Crouch End Festival this Summer.

Too many community buildings are being sold to the highest bidder for 'luxury apartments'. No wonder new mothers are feeling isolated and older people more lonely. Where are they supposed to go to meet other mothers and older people when there are no community activities because there is nowhere for them to be held? Keeping places like this open would, long term, save money on care homes and mental health problems as well as create and sustain communities that have been so proud of in the past.
