The town hall and particularly the green outside should be retained for public use

Why are Haringey Councillors excluding members of the public from tonight's Civic Centre decision to sell the Town Hall to a faceless foreign consortium that just want to develop it into a hotel? Have they something to hide from us?

Please do not sell to an off shore company /luxury hotel developer. We want this to remain as an asset for the community. It is the heart of our locality and to lose it and potentially the green would inextricably alter the whole area

It simply doesn't stack up that a 55 room hotel will produce enough surplus to preserve the Town Hall and fund the required public facilities.

A Town hall is meant for the use of local people, not for some consortium to make a fast buck on. Leave it alone.

Cabinet should not pass this proposal which takes public land away from public use for 125 years.

Don't sell the town hall and land to foreign developer's it is in crouch end and surely the residents of crouch end and Hornsey should be the ones who have a say in what happens to it.

It is extremely important to defend public spaces fast dwindling at the moment, and which enable events to take place binding community together.

this green has been part of Crouch End all my life. I've grown up in Crouch End and it's the one of the only green spaces locals can enjoy. That is worth far more than any amount developers will pay for it...

I'm signing this because -
Today is the first I've heard of this and it leaves me feeling DEEPLY SADDENED.
I've known this spot since I was a young girl and there has always been something quite special about Crouch End (PROBABLY BECAUSE IT IS THE WAY IT IS and ALWAYS HAS BEEN FOR YEARS).
This small green gives something far more special & beneficial to the area than building on it ever could.
It serves as a pleasant & peaceful spot in the heart of Crouch End and we like it that way.
We need these spots in today's world more and more.. as the urban areas become ever more busy and people are forced to be jammed in together - But this is one patch of tiny land that DOES NOT and SHOULD NOT be built upon.
I am completely UPSET & OUTRAGED that the council want to sell it off..... why won't MAN stop building on EVERY patch of land and just let some patches be left alone....You won't stop.
GREED GREED GREED.

Please keep the Town Hall as a centre for the community rather than loose it to developers looking to make a quick profit. Once it is lost, there is no way back!
