I want to see the town hall conserved for its wonderful art, architecture and historic value, but most importantly as a living entity at the heart of the community with open access to the key parts of the interior for community use.

What are the permitted uses, if it does go private? We should at first ensure covenants are in place to prevent undesirable uses; regardless of who actually owns it. Also, if it is sold, how will the new money be used? What process is planned for obtaining the best possible price? The council obviously lacks sufficient business acumen to come up with a viable plan of sustainability, so how could they possibly know its true value? Don't let them just flog it cheap.

It could be a beautiful spot to continue to keep residents together and it is not being fully utilised now. It's potential will certainly not be reached if it is sold off for more flats.

I would like to see services at Hornsey Town Hall for community rather than owned by private investors.

The townhall is the centre of our community. It's very important as is the square in front of it.

This building represents one of the most significant periods of building construction ..Art Deco . This building belongs to history and to architecture. What are we going to gain if we destroy it???

the closing of any community building is about the potential to save money Why isn't the community more important than money There are other ways to save money but better I don't get started

This has to be kept for the community to benefit - tragic if not - let's be sensible in this decision

This building has been put to amazing use this last year, finally after 20 years of neglect from the council (and a party I am a member of), and which is slowly becoming sustainable from a commercial point of view. It serves and binds the community in a way I have not seen in London in the 25 years I have been here. It is extraordinary and unlike anything anywhere in this country. Yes the people there are finding they're feet with it, but considering that haven't even been there for a year, they have created an amazing place. Do not let this happen.

The town hall must be brought into community ownership. The council should represent the views of the people that is what they are elected to do. There is no mandate to sell off public assets.

Please don't sell it off to private developers…the bottom line should be our community and what little space we have left to enjoy together.

It's important to our community to keep the town hall as a community space.
